Our Leaders
Our leaders are our members who make things happen. Though they may be teachers as well, the primary function of our leaders is to plan and facilitate the activities of the organization. These activities may be local or national, in person or online, developmental or social.
We always welcome members and friends to step up and take a leadership role. This can be in a small way that is of particular interest to them or in a major role of service to the Friendcraft organization and its membership. The choice is always the individual's.
However, in whatever ways a person chooses to lead and serve, the goal is for it to be not only of help to others but for it to be a way of personal growth for him or her as well.
Leading can take many forms. It isn't just about management and planning. It can also take place though artistic and creative endeavors, complementing and enhancing activities and gatherings with works of visual and performing arts.
There is a saying: To Lead is to Serve
In Friendcraft we very much take this saying to heart. There are as many ways to lead and thereby serve as there are people interested in taking up the roles of leadership. Yet, whatever the path of leadership a person chooses, in Friendcraft we always take care to ensure that it is in harmony with the principles of Friendcraft Way and the individual's journey of personal growth. |
